Portable Greenhouses

Greenhouses create humidity

and warmth that plants need

in areas where the natural

environment does not.

  • Portable greenhouses are a great option for the home gardener
  • Portable greenhouses are much less expensive than  conventional greenhouses of  comparable size
  • They are easy to put up and take down. When empty they are easy to move to another location
  • Portable greenhouses are easy to store in the garage or basement when not in use
  • These greenhouses are an excellent and reasonably priced solution for non permanent greenhouse needs
  • Depending on where they are placed, most portable greenhouses are pleasant to look at.

Portable greenhouses are much less elaborate than permanent ones. They are reasonably priced, easy to set up, and shelter your plants from cool night temperatures and frosts.

So, if you want to start your tomatoes early from seeds or to grow tulips during a snowy springtime, portable greenhouses can make it possible.

Depending on the size you buy, you can sometimes deploy  one of these shelters  in seconds to cover your plants. You may need to alter your planting plan  in the spring to allow for the set up of the greenhouse in the fall. So put all the plants you plan to protect in one spot of the garden.

There are even smaller versions of the portable greenhouse that are called mini greenhouses. They too come in all shapes and styles. Mini greenhouses are intended to handle just a couple of plants and can be put almost anywhere.
A cold frame mini greenhouse is a small box made of the same material that a normal greenhouse is composed of. They can be a great choice for beginners looking to try their hand at greenhouse gardening without a large initial investment.

Selecting a portable greenhouse will take a little effort.  You need to know  which plants and how many plants you want to keep in it and where you want to place it.  Network with other gardeners or check with a  garden store you trust for advice.
